Green Country Paint Horse Club wants to thank you for your interest in the Green Country Stallion Auction and we invite you to participate in breeding and showing fine Paint Horses. The stallion auction/futurity is designed first and foremost to promote the Paint show horse and to be usable and sustainable to both the small and large breeder. The following are some examples of what it contains:

·            There are no early entry payments.

·            There are no mare nominations.

·            The weanling futurities are a true stallion auction futurity and are limited to one foal for the stallion owner and one foal for the mare owner out of each eligible stallion. They will show for the pot that they built and waited for. Products of the stallion auction and get of eligible stallions show together as yearlings and two year olds.

·            Solid Paint Bred are eligible for all futurity classes through the two year old year.

·            Free slots are good for three years and can be transferred to the new owner if the foal sells.

·            Yearlings may show halter and longe line.

·            Two year olds may show halter and snaffle bit western pleasure.

·            Rules, payouts and pay scales will be posted on the website before the futurity shows.

·            In the interest of rewarding continuing and all around greatness, a work saddle will be  awarded  to the horse that shows all three years and earns the most points.

Due to the late start, in the 2014-2015 futurity, these date and rule changes are necessary:

·         The first sealed bid by a mare owner before August 15, 2015 will be accepted as the winner.

·          Stallions may be donated until August 15, 2015 and that will also be the stallion owner guarantee date

For the 2015-2016 futurity, these date and rule changes are necessary:

·         Stallions may be donated until Dec. 31, 2015 and the stallion owner guarantee date of Dec. 31, 2015 remains unchanged.

·         Sealed bids must be postmarked by Jan 20 and will be opened on Jan. 30. A stallion auction will follow.

Futurity Payback

The club will retain for expenses  10% of the gross income. The remaining money will be disbursed as follows:

                  65% to weanlings for Halter

25% to yearlings for Halter and Longe Line

10% to two year olds for halter and snaffle bit English/Western Pleasure

The futurity will pay back up to 6 places by these percentages.

# of entries

1                 100%

2                 65%   35%

3                 50%   30%   20%

4                 46%   24%   17%   13%

Prize money will be paid to the horse’s registered owner or lessee filed with APHA. GCPHC must be provided with a SS# or FEIN before winnings can be paid. In case of a tie the money will be divided equally between the two or more horses that tied.

The annual income and amount earmarked for each age group will be posted on the website at the conclusion of each SA.

In the interest of rewarding all-around greatness, a work saddle will be awarded to the two year old that competes all three years and accumulates the most points for all three years.
